Boot will not unlock

Hi

Yesterday my boot unlocked fine with the fob but today guess what. the doors open but the boot is still locked. I have looked at the fuse (+changed it) and that is fine. I got in the boot and it just makes no attempt to open (like there is no power).

any ideas??

Take it to your local friendly, efficient renault dealer and let them sort it out as it will be covered under warranty

Oh and I was kidding about the friendly, efficient part

would rather what you have got than what i had not long ago...my boot wouldn't lock! At least your car is secure. God knows how long it was like that for before i realised. Dealer fixed it in a day under warrantee tho, so get booked in.

my girlfriends sister's 03' clio has the same problem, managed to get it open stripped the pastic cover and found the motor had burned out, iirc £38 approx from renault for a new one, easily fitted too

My girlfreind had this same problem. The boot solenoid had broken. Quite common apparantly. Covered under warranty aswell
