and you mean high compression? unless you are wanting to boost it??
engine scrap tbh you want to change the CR so you'll be left with a crank and conrods meaning you'd need a new block and pistons of your choice etc just start with a decent engine
The block i mean. The block i have is cracked basically but i want to know if you can buy the block minus pistons, crack, oil pump etc basically just the external shell?
Im guessing that its going to be far easier buying a complete bottom end in tact, stripping it down and working from there?
Just dreams for the future lol but yeah it would be low compression.
I think i'd prefer to build with a used block TBH. When they've been used for a while they naturalise and are in a less stressed state through heat cycling. With modern manufacturing it's much less of a concern, probably no difference in a modern engine, but it still occurs in my head that it's better
