1.1 Saxo + 8,500 miles.
£1900 sold 10 months later with no outgoings on it for £1450

Saxo VTR + 8000 miles
£1650 Sold 5 months later for £1375 again no outgoings.

Saxo VTS + 11,000 miles
£3075 Sold 18 monts later for £2450 easily 3k+ spent on modifications and repairs.
-3625 approx
Total of £4,350 lost over the time of owning Saxos.
1.1 Saxo + 8,500 miles.

1991 MR2 - Bought for £890 - owned for 12 months - owed me £2500 after mods etc - sold for £1220
Impreza Sport 1998 - Bought for £1500 - owned for 12 months, owed me around £2300 after mods - sold for £1180
1994 Celica GT - Bought for £890 - Owend for 12 months, owed me £2500 - sold for £1000
cars are fu.cking money pits....which is why i stopped modifying them cos u never get your money back

Well including the car I have spent 25k on the cup and don't know how much i will get for it, but I'm guessing it's gonna be nowhere near 25k!!!!

I paid £1500 for my first 205gti, put 15k miles on it and sold it a year later for £1750
I paid £12,100 for my 182 and sold it for £6750 3.5 years and 40k miles later
I paid £1300 for my current 205gti and will sell it for £2k +

My Scoob was my worst bought for £9995, spent about £1000 on mods, Blew the clutch and had a prob with the gearbox, bill for £1920
Sold for 7500:dapprove: a loss of nearly £5500 in 18months and thats without the £3000 i must have spent on fuel in that time lol.
Was bloody worth it though

Some people do have trouble "spelling" not speaking as you put it.
I got my MK1 Astra for £450... sold 2 years later for £50!! -£400
My Mk1 Diesel Clio got for £2000 sold it for £900 -£1100
MK1 Valver got for £1800 and sold for £1800!!
Current 172 got for £8600... lucky if I see £4000 out of it I reckon

it is quite harsh really some people don't have no respect
they just say stuff that can offend you and its not very nice to be honest i have had it several times on here now

Bought Saxo VTR - Brand New £7995, Had it 3 years, sold for £4100,
Lost £3900
Bought Toyota Celica VVTI - Second Hand £9500, Had it 1 year, too slow so I bought the 190 version, sold for £7900, Lost £1600

This car cost me a furtune, Bought it, 4 days later the engine blew up, £2500 for new engine and labour, then 6 months later, lost compression on cylinder no 2, I managed to fix this and cost me about £500, Part exchanged for £5100, So including the repairs I lost £4800
Bought Clio 172 and I still have it
If I was'nt into cars, I'd probably have a fair bit of money saved up, but thats the way it goes.

Bought an R reg Mondeo V6 6 months old for 14,500 - sold it 4 years later for 4,000 loss = 10,000
Bought a new Focus ST170 with extras for 17,000 - sold it 18 months later for 11,000 loss = 6,000
Bought an Impreza new with prodrive for 22,000 - sold it 3 years 6 months later for 11,000 loss = 11,000
Not sure what the damage will be when I sell the Clio in a couple more years

do those figures include what you spent on the car's modding them? (excluding the pug which you sold pretty much after getting it)

bought a vw mk2 golf gti £800 3 weeks later sold for £1650, then bought a mk2 golf with a vr6 lump, bought for £1500 sold for £2700 1 month later...i get luck with mk1 or mk2 golf, every1 wants them in the vw seen, also youll always get more then u paid if u buy the right car, also its on classic insurance so only cost £100 to insure if ur over 25.

i settled for a 172 cup now, jsut wanted to try a moden car it been so long for me, i know ill loose month on it, but who cares, its a better car then all the rest, & ill keep it
