Bought some £2400 Recaros

  Mustang, S13, AX GT
Whatttt!?

I thought they were genuine. Now it's even worse. :dapprove:
Nope, Rota's. They do look good though, come on just ease into it. Its not that bad haha. I prefer the Iggy to the Yaris, but I like Ignis' so thats no surprise. I should have let you drive mine when I had it chris, you would have enjoyed the drive even if it meant a paper bag over the head to convince you to try it..

Hehe, I get what you're saying. I think our Twingo's looks are marmite, but it's all about the drive.

I must admit I did like the Twingo GT so the RS should be nice, but I wouldn't want one they are too small lol. The Ignis was a lot of fun, dare i say it was even more fun than the clio is... It just wasn't as good as the 197 and lacks power a little bit.

Have you seen the Ignis dash?! lol.

In keeping with my 100% record I've sold this to the first person who came to view it (three days after I put it on Pistonheads), only lost a couple of hundred quid from my original purchase as well. Absolutely loved every minute of owning it but with my wedding next year and no doubt kids soon after I thought it was about time I owned something completely impractical for 2 years. An Ignis Sport will probably be top of my list in a few years when I need something practical-ish again.

As for the replacement, all I can say is that if the little Iggy divided opinion, I dread to think what the next cars going to do! A) It's RWD, B) It's impossibly tiny (and the missus would add 'impossibly ugly' to that), C) It's rarer than the Iggy. Pics in a few weeks :)

lol, fair play. I'm guessing they drive better than they look?

Indeed, David Yu (Evo contributor, owner of Godzilla/2) ended up keeping his for nearly 4 years, loved it. Haven't read a bad word from owners or reviewers, proper little sportscar. 63hp yet still does 0-60 in just over 8 seconds.

Ooh, I'll be keen to hear how you find it. Proper little beasts by all accounts.

I can't wait, just a little nervous that the few I have my eye on will go in the next few days. I believe there are somewhere in the region of 450 left in the UK and most are with long-term owners.

Still enjoying the Ignis Mark? I feel worse about letting my one go than I even did with S25 CUP, I never thought that would happen.

Yup, still loving it. Beasting it daily and it's still ticks over quieter than a sewing machine, for me it's the perfect daily hack. So was it just the one viewing from your PH advert, or is there some genuine demand for them now?

Makes me happy you didn't lose out too much on yours...could you PM me price you got and mileage/age? I'm curious as to what I could reasonably expect for my 55-plate 40k miler?

Put it up for sale Tuesday, got a call Wednesday, he came around on Saturday and bought it. Thankfully he's not actually collecting it for 2 weeks, as I never expected it to go that quickly so haven't actually gone out to properly find the replacement!

Not sure if there is genuine demand, but a few people commented that for the age and known reliability of them they are a serious bargain. Not many about that are standard either, so I had that going in my favour. Definitely the sort of car that a buyer specifically looks for though, so I guess I got lucky in that somebody was looking when I was selling.

P.S. Your PM box is full :)
