Brake bias valve

  Clio Mk1 Hybrid

I am lowering my 16 valve in the next couple of weeks.

I have bought a Koni kit which will lower it by approx 35mm at the front, I will lower the back by the same amount.

Will I need to adjust the brake bias valve?

Thanks

The brake limiter valve will need to be adjusted.

As you are lowering the vehicle, this will have the effect of a "loaded" vehicle in respect of the limiter valve and therefore INCREASE the amount of rear braking force. This could lead to nasty rear brake lock ups! Not something to be looking forward to.

Hope that helps.

This is a tricky one. There are no figures for a lowered vehicle.

The best way to do it would be on a brake roller tester (MOT type)

Adjust the rod on the brake limiter until the brakes do not lock up when pressing hard on the pedal.

There just is no other way apart from the dangerous method of trial and error on a QUIET road!

Sorry I cant help any more than that.

Glad to have helped.

Hope your local garage will do this for you. I cant see it being a problem.
