Brake discs on ebay

I personally wouldn't bother. If you're after better brakes, just fir some factor discs, ds2500 pads and do a fluid flush.

Those discs will do very little in terms of braking improvement.

Am about to pay for these. is this a bad idea then?

mmmm they should last 10 mins with redstuff pads, if you could get rears up to temp! i have trouble getting the rust off my rears let alone getting redstuff up to temp!

Spend the money on standard rear end stuff or mintex standard stuff and get brembo H/C disks up front with decent pads eg ds2500 or mintex 1155

By warmley, how come?

Go to Kingswood Autoparts, Get some standard discs for the front and rear (non-Renault ones), standard rear pads and some Ferrodo DS2500 pads for the front. Get some Braided lines for a good quality pedal feel also.

Oh, and some decent fluid.

The brakes will be 20X better than that tat on Ebay.

A local chap then?

I need something alot better then standard, am very heavy on the middle pedal at times and planning to track my cup next year

Mate, my track car a 1.5 tonne 320hp M3 using the EXACT setup, so I think the Cup will be fine! lol!

That Ebay shite will last about 15 minutes on track!

And yes mate, i'm in Downend.

I track my cup and have 240bhp too to stop, i'm running braided lines, mintex black brake fluid, mintex rear standard discs with 1144's, brembo high carbon front disc with mintex 1155. no fade, bite from cold. very happy.

you will not get change out of £500 for a decent setup.

What you mean do say Dave is you abuse the hell out of any car you can get your hands on, and you ruined your brakes! My 182 brakes as standard were fine...never really faded...and it took you about a week to destroy your cup brakes.

not a clio, but eliptically grooved brembo disks combined with ferodo ds2500 pads and motul rbf600 high temp brake fluid. Oulton park where my wife kindly let me abuse her 1.8t powered lupo. ~220bhp/250lbft in 970kg. inside the car i was oblivious to the glowing front disks, such was their composure.

I only use ferodo pads personally on road & my racecar. works very well.

just fitted some ds2500's to my newly aquired 182 this afternoon.
miltek catback arrives tuesday... the slippery slope continues on this brand too now.. doh!

Ds2500's with either brembo max, hc or standard renault discs on the front, standard set-up on the rear will work fine, no matter how hard you brake.

If you're fussy in the summer fluid and cooling will make biggest difference, run some CAF from your fogs to the brakes.
