Brake ducts

  Astra van,Mk1 nova
Looking for brake ducts that fit into the foglight and surround for the 172 cup. Cant seem to find them anywhere. Ive done a search but there seems to be some confusion to who still sells them.

Anyone know where i can purchase a set, or even better point me in the direction of someone who is selling a set?

Just take the whole foglight surround out.

You will let more air in to cool the brakes without anything in there!

The ducts arent what they look. Fit is awful and nowhere near the size and shape of the surrounds! Mine cost me a bomb and was a bit disappointed. Plus to fit you have to cut a fair bit of bumper away, so you'll never be able to remove them or put bumper back to standard.

If you really want them theyre a very simple design, might be worth looking at some pics and seeing what you can manufacture yourself.

But they come from rsport if you're buying. Try rsport in wimbledon, or mark fish motorsport mate.

Id just remove my fogs if i did it again, and run caf to rear of brakes!

It looks slightly easier to do on the phase 1 due to the fog light design. Mine are 75mm. Probably too big for the phase 2

Id have a go with a 50mm pipercross caf kit off ebay mate if I were you. much cheaper than the 'proper' ducts. Have a look in my project thread for insperation

Great info mate :) not really up for hacking at the bumper tbh. Mite just keep an eye out for some k-tec ones. Either that or try and find some caf trumpets to fit into the foglight holes.
