this may be way off but from what i understand....
original flexi hoses are quite pliable and when brake fluid pressure/heat builds up (ie when you are hard on the brakes) it stretches ever so slightly reducing the efficiency of the brakes
braided brake hoses reduce this and therefore increase the efficiency, ie some of the pressure you exert on the pedal is not lost in the 'stretch' of the flexi hoses
correct me if im wrong tho cos i hate having the wrong idea about stuff lol
