Brake fluid

Anyone know why on brake fluid bottles it says 'brake and clutch' fluid? How does the brake fluid do stuff to the clutch, or is there a different resevoir for it?:S

some cars have a hydraulic clutch that uses the same type of fluid; the RS Clios have a cable clutch
