My brakes have been fairly useless for several months now. Initial bite is good, but any heavy stops and they're rubbish.
The pedal has feel and isn't to the floor, though it does seem a little spongy with very heavy pressure. The servo seems to be holding its vacuum as it only hisses when the pedal's being pressed, and my brake lines, pads, discs, calipers etc are all new.
We've just fitted a new master cylinder and that also hasn't fixed the problem. New fluid went in with the change so it's not that either.
The symptoms are basically that the brakes feel weak with heavy stops, though I can get the ABS to kick in and fronts to nearly lock at lower speeds. The right rear disc never seems to get too hot when really worked, where as all three other corners get really hot. Assuming this is part of the issue...
