brake light problem

took my cup spoiler brake light out last night to have a look at the leds to see if they had completly gone.

when the mrs touched the brake only 1 of the bulbs lit up but when i touched the other bulbs and moved them a bit they all lit up. I then proceded to put the brake light back in and asked the mrs to touch the brake again, only to find ony 2 would light up.

i dont know what to do know, is there a problem with my wiring, do i have a short connection somewhere.

sounds like bad wiring, try tape them up before you put it back in to hold them in place?
