Brake light

Last night my nearside brake light went out, I presumed it was just the bulb. After further investigation I've found it's not the bulb as it's still working, I've looked for loose wires, checked the earth and tried to clean the contacts and bulb holder, also I've checked the brake pedal sensor all to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas what might be the issue?

Had another look at the bulb in question, it seems to have two filaments in it, would it be possible for just one of the filaments to blow?

Also can you buy double filament bulbs from anywhere, i.e halfords EuroCarParts?

^yeah, that can happen

presumably you need a 21w/5w twin filament bulb - get them anywhere:)

Ahh! Thanks Henry.

I was messing around with the rear lights for ages trying to find out what the problem was. Doing it on my own was a pain in the arse, had to use mirror at the back of the car lol. Was tempted to put a brick on brake pedal but didn't fancy scuffing it as I've not that long ago cleaned them up.
