Brake lights on all the time???

All 3 of my brake lights are on all the time (02 172), i've had a fiddle about with the fuse box but everything seems ok, any other ideas folks? thanks Warine

have you recently replaced a bulb and fitted a single tier bulb instead of a double one?

Or maybe a bulb has come loose breaking the curcuit.

i haven't changed any bulbs for a long time, i will check all the bulbs for fitment though

sticky switch on the brake pedal by the sounds of it (that would be the first place i'd check)

Same as dink, the brake light switch is right at the front of the pedal and can easily be kicked out of place, i would check to see if its still in its correct position, if not it just pops back in and turn it 90 degrees. Job done.
