Brake Overhaul

I need to replace the rear discs on my 172 cup, think I do the fronts soon as well. Have you guys got any suggestions for upgrade discs and pads? Cheers

Out of interest; how do you know that they need replacing?

(As far as I know the rear brakes hardly do anything on RS Clios)

My rear brakes make kind of thudding/faint knocking noises for a short time after leaving the car parked up all day - think its the handbrake causing them to bond slightly. I've started parking it in gear instead and its not happening anymore.

Grey devil industries do the rear hub/bearing/disk as a package for £120, but as said above you might only need to do the pads. My 172 is on 74K and im still on the original rear disks. been through 3 sets of disks at the front in that time.

The discs are all scored and pitted, I think the previous owner must have run it on worn-out pads or something. The garage that just did it's mot suggested I replaced them fairly soon. Cheers.
