Brake Pads gone after 9000 miles!!

Well its time to don my bullsh*t armour and battle the evil renault dealership.

Noticed a scraping sound from the front driver side caliper, turns out im braking with the backing plate. Never have i had to replace pads before until at least 18,000 miles.

Gonna ring my dealership this afternoon, ive prepared myself for the usual excuses such as "sir, the vibration caused by extended use of your subwoofer has caused the diintegration of the brake pads, therefore is a bill for £70+"

My tactful rebutle is likely to include " F**k Off"

Ahh i love renault

Cant see them replacing for free unless theres an obvious problem. Youll need new discs if youve been using it with the backing plate..

Do it yourself!!! Mine lasted 17k on my old DCi. Replaced both side in less than an hour at the cost of £21 i think for the pads. Hardest part was working out where to put the trolley jack. It really is simple.
