Brake Pads .. Please comment

Hi Guys

tokk me pads out after some some strange vibrations from the front left of the car and this what they looked like im gus=essing that they are fucked now they are pagid 4-2 the blue ones and have been used with brembos max discs

vibrations when braking usually indicates warped discs. If they were glazed it would just make braking less responsive not bumpy.

thats what i would have tho0ugh but have checked the discs with a dial guage and with a micrometer and they are all with tollerences

allthoug i did notice a slight difference between the discs when i was checking the as one has a groove machined into the outer section of the disc and the other doesn't

Put a metal ruler over the pad and see if you can see if they are "flat" ?

thats what a dial guage is for and the is less than 0.05mm distortion accros the disc manufacturers say anything upto 0.1mm is fine

Are those blues cracked??!

yes yes they are done about 7.5k on em 5k with black diamond combi's and 2.5 with brembo max and they have cracked.

oh right, thought u did this on the discs only. Not the pads. Fair enough. Then i have no idea what causing the juddering. Usually brakes are pritty simple things

oh sorry mate my mistake i though you meant the discs not the pads ill go and have a look but the are chucks missing out of the face of the pads.

If the pads have chunks missing and its causng them to be uneven/not flat, then i bet thats the issue. There is really only one of two things that can go wrong and youve already said the discs are fine. :| Unless the brakes are all fine and its another problem all together! good luck and keep us/me posted.

am gonna try putting my original pads in and try that see if it goes away

how does a set of pads crack though

Heat usually, id send them back to pagid and ask for some replacements
