Brake Pads

S&K

  182 cup + Elise
Fitted a new set of pads as my old ones felt like they were not giving their best. I now have a set of Mintex M1144's fitted and they feel great. The old pads that I took out were well past their best after around 4k miles and one track day, when I took them out I didn't expect them to be this bad though ! These are the Bosch pads that I removed, just goes to show that standard material pads aren't up to the abuse they get on circuit, they don't handle heat very well

6/10 i've seen worse!!

1144's aren't a good track pad by the way, they'll last about 5 laps before melting

Have you tried Pagid RS material on the Clio's ? I was considering going RS42's

good, but £200 now i think, they feel a bit "wooden" until red hot

you want a track/road pad DS2500
bit more oooomph DS3000

ultimate - PF97 (but that is for track slags only, ruins wheels and paint work)

I use the Pagid on the Elise and they're fine on that but I suppose it is a lot lighter, may try the DS2500 next then, thanks :)

we tried 1155's AND 1166's, good but they were down to the back plate after 1 day at bedford which was a shame

Once you past the squeel stage and they warm up, DS3000 are awsome for stopping power :D

That was me and sam my mechanic (british GT racing driver don't you know ;)) and we're not really excessive with the middle pedal either

I put brembo discs and DS2500 pads on that i got off KTEC last week along with Hel braided lines they worked amazing.

had a track day on sunday past and our circuit has 2 long straights reaching about 120+mph then a second gear hairpin, never let me down once thank hell unlike before lol

I had 1144s, as Fred says, they turn to cheese after a few laps. I'm running PF97s now, amazing stopping power and they have yet to fade on me. My alloys have seen better days though, and there are orange specs down the side of the car lol
