brake pedal feel weird

I have had new brakes a week ago done 300 miles since.

When i press the pedal fairly hard it feels like it is kind of grinding(abit bumpy).

I am fairly sure its not right i just would like to know what i can do to fix it or if my brakes are not fully bedded in yet.

If you bought decent quality ones they will bed in, if you didn't your in the ditch.
