Brake pedal

hi,

most of the time, my brakes are as they always have been , (the pedal has a small amount of give in it before braking actually begins if you understand me) but recently every so often the brake pedal is very firm right from the top of its travel , which doesn't feel too normal.

anybody know whats wrong? i know my explanation was as clear as mud but maybe someone has had the same problem?

Does it seem more firm when the brakes are warm/ after driving it for a bit??

Ive found the mk2ph2 non rs clios do have "catchy" brakes right from the top of the pedal.

yep its notmally after its warmed up, so no potential danger then?
