Need to make up a pipe to loop my steering rack. Looking at this kit on eBay as I'd rather buy something to do it myself.
Just wondering has anyone got any experience of using a kit like this?
Surely the pipe needed will be much larger than a brake pipe fitting, more like 1/2” fittings for the steering rack? Wouldnt think that kit would be any use
The fittings in the steering rack that need looped are M12x1mm so I've ordered brake pipe fittings for 3/16" pipe. The holes your talking about get plugged.
Ah brilliant mate I ended up ordering it so should get it within the next couple days. It includes a pipe cutter.
On a side note, if you’re thinking of doing smaller stuff that style of kit is absolutely crap. Especially from the likes of sealey, laser, amtech etc all the same rebranded soft metal that can barely grip copper lines let alone OEM steel lines and wears out very quickly leading to dodgy wonky flares that f**k the threads on the unions in no time.
Had to pop to a mates garage so got him to knock me a pipe up whilst I was there. All sorted now thanks. That does look like a better solution if I was removing the rack but looping will do the trick.
