Brake problem...

  Ph1 Sport
I have a situation, replaced the master cylinder 2 months ago and now the brakes have got air in them, the hand brake is really loose also and new shoes were put on with the master cylinder. Been told i will probably need new cylinders in the drums and new shoes agen as they must be leaking?

Anyway, i am thinkin about an engine conversion along the line so would it be better to get a 172 rear axle for better brakes so its less hassle when i get a new engine?? And i have coilovers on at the moment but iirc they are only bolted on with one nut so would i be right in thinking i wouldnt need to get new rear coils?

Any help will be much appreciated,
Thanks, Baz.

  Dodgy one
I cant see how a master cylinder can possibly go wrong within two months unless its a manufacturing fault, Id try bleeding them again TBH, start from the furthest corner away from the MC. Im not sure where it is in the Clio as ive not had a good look around mine Yet and assuming you know the basics of brake bleeding, you normally start at n/s/r, o/s/r, n/s/f, then o/s/f.

And the handbrake cable will probrably want tightening up thats all.

Not sure on your shocks, If the rear has springs its similar to the 182 which also has 1 bolt for the dampers, and this is where you fit Coilies so it should swap straight over
