brake problems

hi i have a problem witht he brakes when i push on the brake pedel they feel as tho they are grinding and bieng spongy

any sudgestions

have you had a look at the pads etc?

nope its going into kwik fit for new tyres to be put on all my alloys so gonan try n get um to do a free brake check i think
