Brake upgrades?

Just wondering if any of you guys knew of any brake upgrades available for my 172 cup? From what I've read in reviews, the brakes should be very good as standard (quoted 2.5 seconds 60-0) but mine are more adequate than they are impressive and need to be pressed fairly hard. The discs show no rust which would indicate good contact. Any ideas? Crap pads maybe? Cheers, Billybob

When i had my 172 i had K-tec x drill discs and Tarox pads that were quite good and s/s braided brake hoses and a good super .5/.4 brake fluid .

Have the brakes bled that can usualy be the fix if not check the pads condition personally unless you've got problems stock pads for the money arn't bad otherwsie DS2500s are a much fatserroad/race pad but there more expensive and squeek when cold plus there suppos to be race use only.
