Brake Uprgrades

  Astra Twintop
i currently have a 1.6 16v mk2ph2, running 15" Turini's.

Have no idea about brake upgrades.

is there anything that will fit under the 15's on the car? i dont want to be changing wheels as ive not long had these on the car.

Will sport brakes fit?
im sure i read somewhere about 406 V6 Coupe brakes...........

Cheers for any advise

Pug 406 v6 brakes are brembo's (four pots) which are quite big, so doubtful they'll go under 15's.

You may be best going with upgraded lines & pads etc. Although if it for normal road use, do you really need to upgrade them ?

get some greenstuff pads and find some uprated discs i wouldnt bother trying to do a 'big brake' conversion i.e from a 406 etc
google demon tweeks you can find it all on their website pretty cheap and quick in post.

ill prob do pads n discs when they need doing, or when i come into some reddies.

Hi!

They fit my wheels with 11mm spacers, wether they'll fit yours though, I have no idea! I've had a fair bit of pissing around to do but when they're on and stopping me, I'll post the details. :D

ferodo do a kit specifically designed to fit behind 15/16 inch rims, 6 pots aswell

to be honest a simple pads/discs/lines will do the trick

Right, further developments afoot!

Has anyone fitted the V6 Brembo's behind turini's?

I dont want to waste £ finding out they wont fit.!

Or calliper measurements, not sure if they'd help.

i understand they'll need spacing out

Sport brakes fit with a lot of work and arn't needed

either upgrade stock setup with new stuff and thats fine for stopping or chnage the pads as well and you'll never realy outperform the brakes only need to upgrade is for dedicated track work or for looks in whcih case the ktec is for looks and 4 pots with stock disks for performance

the ktec kit is IMO rubish its just for looks
