Ive got some x-drilled black diamond discs for my car and by accident Ive bought non-abs discs when my car does have abs.oops! anyway my mechanic says the front discs shouldnt be a problem but hes not sure about the rear discs??? Before he starts messing round can anyone on here save us some time? its an L-reg.Will they fit?

Think the fronts are the same with/without ABS. You can always check manufacturers websites like Tarox for example to see if there is any difference.

I got rear G88 Tarox for ABS and then found I hadnt got ABS. There is a casting made on the hub part of the disk for the ABS sensor. Havent fitted mine yet but think it will be OK. Without the disks being correct your ABS might not work as the sensor cannot gauge the revolutions of the disk and sense lock up.

Cant you take them back and get them changed or flog them?

Got a feeling that the sensor picks up off the driveshaft so would have thought the discs would be ok

Yeah the pick up may be on the driveshaft??? I can send them back its just the hassle. Cheers for the info anyway.

i thought the pickup were on the DS...there should be a series of ridges all round the CV area near the splines?
