This will be obvious to some... but not to me... coz i know nothing about brake conversions.. so can anyone tell me...if I want to go for bigger 285mm grooved disks... do i have to change my calipers as well to match? or can I still use my original size calipers? and justs replace the pads with performance ones... For some big brake kits you get a spacer which brings the calpier out further from the standard mounting,
Kits which use this are the K-tec big brake conversion, which means you go from a 259 to a 285 disc.
Depending on what car you have will depend on what size disc you currently have.
