brakes keep locking

hey

when im braking quite hard my brakes seem to lock up alot, i no tht with the cup u dont get abs so whats the best way to prevent this from happening

on a serious note mate, get them checked out. is the ABS light lit on the dash?

Thought you dont get ABS on the cup??

How worn are your tyres?

u dont tht why i sed i didnt have it lol 2 front ones are nearly new the back left one is a bit worn like, but wud 1 tyre affect it tht much?

172 Cup doesn't have Abs - check you have decent tyres on with loads of tread, especially on the front as they do the most braking.

There's not much you can do about locking up intially except don't break so hard. If you do lock up then pump the brake pedal on and off - effectively what abs does, just less quick unless you're very good.

Just gives you more powerful brakes and your at the mment can lock up so you need to sort grip etc first.
