  tiTTy & SV650
Looking for a budget 32" LCD for the flat, upto about £350

Whats better a Sony Bravia engine or a Panasonic Viera?

models most likely to be:

Sony 32V4000 and Panasonic TX-32LXD80

Cheers

I genuinely thought this was a football thread, was wondering who is Bravia. Fail.

32V4000 all the way.

I've got the 40V4000 and my cousin has the 26V4000 and we're both so happy with them. The 32V4000 looks amazing too, and its cracking value as its around £350 last time I looked. May have gone up a bit after the sales now. And as a bonus, its got amazing reviews. Best in class I think.

i've got a 40W2000 (LCD) and i think the SD quality could be better personally. Mums' 50" panny (plasma) looks much nicer...

Get the Sony 32V4000, cracking value for money, John Lewis were doing it for £299 with 5 years warranty.

Not too sure what BBE Viva is but makes movies sound pretty damn good!

Dont listen to people go in the store and look at them both its the only way. Look at a movie/sport/DVD that will tell you. But make sure they are using the same source input

I looked at both and went for the Viera. Have been chuffed with it, I made the right choice. My Xbox 360 plays beautifully on it and it cost me about £400 six months ago.

I opted for the LMD version and not the LXD but the best thing to do is go to What? Hi Fi or the associated website, I found a cracking set of reviews for this end of the market and the LMD eclipsed the comparable Sony's and other brands (especially Samsung) up to the £650 mark.

My father in law has a Bravia and my Mum has a Vieira and tbh I can't tell the differance in picture quality, but if I had the choice I would take the Vieira as it looks better imo

I bought a 32" HD LCD Sony Bravia with built-in freeview from Tescos on Boxing Day for £349.

I'm really happy with it actually!

good input folks cheers, don't think I can wrong with either really. What Hi Fi rated a sony 32" top again in the latest issue.

I'll scope out John lewis and Costco to get a 5 year warranty regardless, although you can also pay a little extra to get this from Richer Sounds

Pretty sure that was the 32V4000 as they just reviewed it.

yeah might be, or a more expensive model.

It wasnt the best high street price they quoted anyway. But it was the cheapest on test and won

Can you find anywhere with the 32v4000 in stock? I tried evrerywhere and ended up going for the slightly more expensive Samsung posted in this thread. I'm very impressed with the picture and it's a greta looking TV.

Bravia but i am biased
+1

Just waiting for it to come in stock so we can pick it up :D can't wait to get it!

Took us a long time to decide which to get but after viewing in the shop with a special presentation we immediately went with the Sony.
