Anyone know where I can pick up the 8 dust seals for the 197/200 brembos?

Cheers

Spot on, thanks.

I can't believe I haven't found that. I've been seaching for Brembo repair etc etc but didn't manage to spot them.

Any idea what the small bits at the top of the picture are?

How often are these dust seals meant to be replaced?

Probably never, however mine look to have reacted to something (maybe brake cleaner?) and have disformed (see below!) It's a good excuse to get them powder coated or painted also (and maybe some hel lines and ATE superblue)

I'd say that's from heat as they have bubbled up

I've seen quite a few like that

If you're stripping them down and fitting new seals etc... grab some racing blue fluid from GSF and do a full brake fluid change too. It's not much money but handles heat a lot better than normal dot 4 stuff :D

I've said above, the plan is some HEL lines and ATE super blue fluid.

Any ideas on what's best to do with the calipers? I want a good finish so brush on caliper paint is out of the equation. Can you get high temp lacquer to go over high temp paint? Or shall i find somewhere to powdercoat?

If you want a factory finish they'll need blasting back down and powder coating
Companies like Big Red do that

It's expensive though.

Spray on High Temp paint might get a 80% finish, depends how fussy you are really, but you'll still have to sand them all down which takes ages or get them blasted before you paint

as i said i'm 99% sure bigred won't touch brembo etc, there's a chap in london we use who is BRILLIANT!

I think i'll have a go at them myself. I'll remove them, sand them down as smooth as possible and paint them up. I need to do the rears too.

Now to decide on a colour........!?
