Brembo Max HC prices

Car  ph1 172
Wheres the cheapest place to get Brembo Max high carbon discs for a 182.

I hear its GSF do them for about £90 delivered, but i cant find them on their site...

I need to change mine soon.

Are the Max HC discs much better than normal HC discs??

You wont notice any difference mate, maybe after a long session on track but thats about it.

They do look pretty though

anyone recommend any good performance discs for a valver or is it not worth the extra mu-lah?

Are there any downsides to these over the normal HC? For the few quid more for the ebay ones over the normal hc I'll get these next, unless they have some major draw back :)

Because they're so pretty they may attract more attention from women. Which depending on how forgiving your missus is may be a drawback.

Oh, and the grooves will wear pads slightly quicker too...

Are the 172 discs the same size as 1.6 ones? I know willy/valver ones are but what about the sports?

No I dont think so, the 172discs are one of the biggest Renault do: 280mm, they are also on the Laguna, Scenic, Kangoo van and Meganes.

Brembo Max discs and Pagid pads are available and CS members get a 10% club discount off of there prices (just ask for the club discount).

Those with braided hoses and new fluid will make a decent improvement - I've run them on all my MK1's before I bought my Trophy.

:)

Right, have justy been up a quiet stretch of road doing a bit of brake testing, and on a cup with ferodo ds2500 pads's and these discs its pretty easy to lock the wheels up should you choose to (i made lots of pretty smoke, hehe)

Cant remember it being this easy with the hc's, so maybe they do offer a braking advantage...
