Thats the main reason im not doing it I know I would loose my licence.

Police issued a statement saying that if you do it you risk teh chance of loosing your license as it can be associated with street racing, thats why I pulled out.

Its a race so there goes your insurance. Plus as its this country you loose your license and not only get fines like you would do abroad.

  200 cup (van blanc)

i have just got my application pack - they claim it is not a race and is legal. Can u tell me more about the police statement? - i was well up for it before i read that!

  Fiat Coupe 20v turbo

Im quite tempted as chasing Ferraris, Porshes and Lambos around the country would be amazing. Also you know you wouldnt be slowest because there are Punto GTs and a mx5 in there! I think if your cars all legal and youve got a road angel or similar you might be OK. 600 quid seems a bit steep though.

Seams like the slowest people who travel the furthest will win! Very weird!
nah mate, youve got it wrong, its the car with the LEAST miles and LEAST time spent that win - but it isnt a race, so planning the routes and deciding whether or not the bonuss are worth going for is the big thing matey :)

moving a bit of topic maybe but i was once at a cruise and got a 3 month ban from that retail centre for going to a cruise. There wasnt even like a "strip" at it so no raceing. Everyone their got producers and their cars had a quick look over and some taken off the road-dunno if they could call it a race or not but id be cautious-sounds fun though

One rule for hot hatch owners and another for performance carswent to a piston head meet in my mates tvr at virginia waters the other month loads of tvrs ferraris and a lambo some people were doing donuts in the car park and sub 5 second 0-60s on the road (a 30 limit) outside the pub for 2 hours and the police went past a couple of times but never stopped to do jack about it.

It is a bit dodgy i suppose but hopefully police will be in agreement if its organised well.

Have been in contact with they guy running it about my company sponsering some of it and he seems to have his head screwed on.

Should be a good event

Its gonna be full of chavs.......in saxos and cossies !

i am goin to save up and do europe next year ! much more fun !
