mate i was in this situation last year in my VTR. was a horrible feeling having all these questions going round and round in your head. At the end of the day, try not to get too worked up about it, its just metal at the end of the day...can all be replaced, and yer your insurance might be a bit higher now but just pay it monthly and it wont seem as bad.

Good luck.

i've just seen the car as its down the road and it could have been a lot worse, looks mostly superficial, so repair if you can do it cheaper than the value of the car, which im sure you can

as for the insurance it might not be too bad, put it this way my mate had 3 years no claims and 2 weeks after getting his vx220 turbo put it into a wall in the wet and needed 6k's worth of bodywork, he's now got his new insurance policy and only pays a few hundred more and he's upgraded the turbo, full exhaust system and remap, all of which is declared.
