Broken back box + more ponies

Hi guys.

I have a phase 2 172 that is stripped and used just for track. The hanger on the backbox has snapped off so I need a new backbox. Any recommendations? I don't want any more noise due to track limits.

Also looking to eek out a few more horses, without adding noise again.

Any advice either way would be great. Thanks

Exhaust won't give you any noticeable power increase unless you decat it. What exhaust have you got now?

Just a factory one dude.

Did think about decatting but wasn't sure if it would make it louder

It will mate. Would you consider upgrading the standard exhaust to a performance one? Even like for like they sound better. You could run a straight through centre, leave the cat in place and opt for a stealth or recessed style backbox.

Yes I would upgrade the exhaust if I would see some benefit from it.

So far engine wise the only mods are air filter and rs tuner map I believe
