if anyone works for bt in there faults dep then opm me asap please, have had a fault on the ine for 10 days now and have no calls or internet since????

when i pick the phone up theres no tone and when i call it from my mobile it rings from the mobile but my hse phone doesnt ring???

bt said the problem was at the phone exchange and said it would be fixed by last monday but still nothing,

cant be arsed to go on hold for 1hr+ again!
 
not havent even looked for my old clio, its a line fault not bb, also have a bill quiery? line was active for 5 days and i got a £49 bill?!?!?!?

I've just moved into new accomodation which has an existing BT phone socket (and line presumably). I am desperately trying to get it reactivated so I can make calls and get broadband, but everytime I phone up I am on hold and never actually manage to speak to somone. I have phoned 4 times, each time I have waited 20 mins, 20 mins, 10 mins and 40 mins. Twice I have left my number with the automated service to have someone call me back and no-one has. I have now emailed them twice using the online complaints form and still no-one has been in touch. Is this normal for BT? I want to tell them to just f**k off but I feel so helpless as they own all the bloody phonelines.

Anyone know a better way of getting my phoneline reconnected?

I have been calling 0808 100 7722 (from my mobile which is costing me money, and more and more of it!) I am at my wits end, any help would be greatly appreciated!

i used the online email compliant thing about my broadband, this was at 11:30 at night and at 12 midnight i had an email back, saying they found a line fault and want to get an engineer to call so to give them a date and time to call back.

A few emails later its booked for monday at 7 so we shall see if it happens but the email response i had was very good and prompt!

Well I rang again this morning, I used the call back function again. Surprisingly thewy did actually call me back. Anyway, I got as far as giving some details but then the guy was having trouble finding my address. A few minutes of this and he put me on hold. I get a little nervous but ok. After a few minutes on hold all of a sudden the phone is ringing and now I'm back in the queue! What a f**king joke! No referance or name from him to basically complain, AGAIN. So I waited on hold for 20 minutes and nothing. I thought maybe he'd call me back as he had my number, but no, did he f**k. So I rang up again and used call back again. This time they did actually call back again. It was a woman this time and she was actually quite friendly and trying to be helpful. She actually apologised for me getting put back in the queue. So a few minutes on the phone to her and it turns out because I'm in MoD property I have to speak to a different department. Of course it's only open mon-fri. I have the new number for this department and will be ringing them monday.

my housemate is moving into a new house and he is constantly calling them about his line and hes waiting for hours at a time.

The BB line seems a lot quicker, they also say to call early afternoon as its quieter then.

My housemate had a blinder though, he asked for a new number and connection at his new house, they gave him a number he didn't recognise the area code for and presumed it was a new 'special' bt number lol.

When it didn't work, he called them up and they said they would get an engineer out, the engineer rang on the day and saud he would be around in 15 mins, confirmed the address and the engineer was in scotland, my mates house is in High Wycombe lol.

Tehy had given him a scottish number and messed it up totlally, no wonder it wouldn't work. That was 4 weeks ago, they've finally managed to cancel that order now and are going to do a new one for the right number, not very clever!

Had a business line fitted 6 weeks ago and its still not working correctly.

they gave us a choice of numbers to choose too. picked one, took 5 week for that to come active after promises every 3 days it would be sorted. Eventualy got the number, number would ring but the actual phone wouldnt ring.

had an engineer out and was told a fault on the line and also that we now couldnt have that number we choose. Bearing in mind iv printed 100's of professional letterheads and compliment slips with it on! line is still not working! great for business!

On top of this they have sent us 2 bills for £160 and have been charging us since the day the line was installed and we havent made or taken a single call on it yet!

I am getting quite worried by how unproffessional they are. They're supposed to be one of the best-known and established companies in the country yet it's like the monkeys are running the zoo.

Rang the special number I was given. Still managed to spend time on hold before getting through but only about 5 mins fortunately. They knew what they were doing too. Took about 5 mins and I'm hoping my phoneline might even be working at some point today. No re-activation/connection fee either as she said it was active.

...calls to the bird in America I'm seeing are about to get a whole lot cheaper!

My mum has been waiting 8 weeks for her line in a new shop / new business. The previous occupants had 3 BT lines which they cancelled. Rang something like 10-15 times now, each time gets put on hold or passed from pillar to post or cut off.

She has had to have all the signs done now with just her mobile and left a gap for the landline.

Utter sh*te !

really annoyed as my flat mate is at the new house he is moving to today and hes taken the bloody phone with him so BT won't even be able to call me, what a knob end!

well, had my call at 1:55 today, spoke to another numpty who went through all the same stuff again, have i got sky or a fax that could interfer.........blah blah blah, is the home hub on the carpet?

ANyway, then got put through to the line fault dept. and they ran some tests, and said they would call me back.

Anyway, 10 mins later they called me back and said they have put another order through and by 8 tomorrow night I should have really fast broadband lol. I reckon they messed up the order when i went from option 4 to 3 and gave me a 2 mb line rather than unlimited and they have made a profile change as whenever i did the speed test it said my IP profile was a 2mb one.

So roll on 8pm tomorrow to see if my speed increases, fingers crossed!

Well I got a text from BT, my line is now up and running. Although I don't actually have a phone to use it yet! I'm going to order broadband with that hub and phone so I won't know till I get it! I can't order the broadband for another day though as it takes 48 hours for the system to update they said. (online at least anyway)

well the time my order is supposed to go through for me to get 'really fast broadband' is nearly here, hers hoping!
