BTCC Donnington 18/19th

hope this is in the right section. Im going to donnington this weekend i got it as a birthday present and never been before. Just wondered if anyone else been and where you recomend standing etc.

Also once parked is it a far distance from track? Im just wondering as im going with the girlfriend so if its cold and she want to go back to car to warm up is this easy enough? What kinda of time am i best to get there to avoid ques etc?

This is the first time and im really looking forward to it just thought id ask for some pointers.

I`m going on sunday too with the mrs....times dont really matter as to getting there as the traffic/people flow fairly easily its just the leaving that gets rammed.We usually go and sit on the grass over by craner curves,easy to get to and you can see the cars running from the pit lane straight all the way to the top of the hill...about 16 seconds worth..lol.

I noticed 2 172 cups, a 182 and a trophy today. Plus a couple of silver 197s. One had travelled from holland, judging by the reg
plate.

I, sadly, was driving the gfs focus 1.6 style... :weary:

Highlight of the day was definitly the noise on overrun from the BTCC cars. Pop pop pop. The Pirtek sponsored car sounded espcially evil and seemed louder than most.

Oh and Sheddon losing it on Hollywood in one of the qualifiers.

Watched the last qualifying on itv player earlier....quite a few losing in down craner curves....the pirtek mg6 is plato`s old car from last year.they did sound awesome then....exhaust having a side exit does the sound....Oh and mine....she`s done 134k...had an engine rebuild last year and has bits that need replacing but i love her....lol

Looks like its on the tarmac just down from the chequers cafe??...i want to walk around and say hello to lee at TCR but the mrs want to just go straight to the infield.....looks like i`m going straight to the infield.,...lol

Its 100yrds dead ahead from the paddock entrance gate. Near side entrance to the Melbourne loop. Couple of racing trucks there too. Inc one with a shedload of snatch and lock stock airbrushing.

You cant miss the cars. Theres a massive RS marquee at the side of them.
