BTCC Silverstone

This weekend was the first visit to Silverstone for me, having been told how poor a circuit it is for photos (even for us fortunate enough to be trackside). I have to say, while its not exactly a Brands Hatch/Oulton Park, its far from the worst circuit i've shot. So if your trackside - stop wingeing and take some photos.

Having said the above, a lot of the track shots i took were just ordinary boring pans or normal head on shots as you have all seen a million times, so i wont bore you with those.

1. O'neil trying to hold the fords off

2. Cars fighting through the heathaze

3. Honda Crew having a conflab

4. Pretty average crowds down the start finish

5. Chevrolets flying in formation (not sure about this shot at all)

6. Tom Onslow Cole reserved after 'coming second' to his team mate.

7. Honda Civic type R, a thing of the past

8. This fella was pretty pleased with himself

9. Still being pleased with himself

I was there Sat & Sun,was a good weekend,nice shots.Shame about the Red Arrows though.

i love how cocky Paul ON was being about his chances, wish he'd held off onslow cole but thats racing, and chilton really benefited from team orders. your shots truly are something else, look forward to them everytime.

plato pulled out more of a lead on neal so all is well

what happened with the arrows tony? i saw them on the tv like but was there an issue?

Bunch of tossers from Bicester gliding club were flying in their airspace,so had to abort the mission half way thruogh.

What lens do you use mate?

The bokeh on that last shot of the girls is lovely!

The lens is a 70-200, but a lot of the bokeh comes from the slightly larger sensor, makes a surprising difference.

Love the first shot. Don't see many from that sort of angle.

Sheddon looks surprisingly happy as well.
