BTCC @ Silverstone & Brands Hatch GP

Another small catchup. Not my final events of the year, but very close.

A somewhat lack laster BTCC Silverstone. Made up for by an absolutely blinding finale at the always brilliant Brands Hatch GP circuit.

C&C encouraged!

I even wrote a few blog posts if you're bored:

three will be related to shutter speed no? as the safety car doesnt weave about it stays kinds still in a sense. the racecars are weaving which in turn makes them blurred...?

I'm no tog though so may be miles off.

Could be actually, I hadn't thought about them warming the tires and the safety car going straight which would explain the focus...

That’s exactly what has been done there, it just requires a slow enough shutter speed to blur the cars, yet fast enough to keep the safety car sharp.

Amazing work Nick, you're going places :)

One thing though, I can't work out how the hell you did #3!

Very kind Chris,

Yes the technique for 3 is as per Naith's post

Cracking set as usual.

Number 3 has got me thinking too. Very cleverly done.

Thanks Kyle

Great shots as ever, Nick.
3, 8 and of course the last one are great shots.

Cheers Ben

Excellent set - especially 12 and 13.

Thankyou mate

Exactly. It also requires you to pan with the car at the front. As i'm shooting down at the car, the car is effectively moving downwards, so at 1/13th as this shot is, you need to move with the safety car too.
