Bucket seat seatbelts with original seats pass an MOT?!

I've got an MOT coming up, but can't afford to install bucket seats for a few months.

Problem is, a lot of the standard front seatbelt equipment is f*cked and I know it will fail the MOT. But I don't want to spend £50+ replacing standard belt equipment when it could go towards decent bucket seatbelts.

Any1 with MOT experience know if there would be any chance of my car passing its seatbelt test if I properly installed some Luke racing belts but somehow tried to use them with the factory fitted craposeats, lol!

I'm almost certain I know the answer as I type it :nono: , lol, but...

You successfully managed to condense my paragraphs of ranting nonsense into a concise 12 word question. b*****d!!!

lol..i think as long as they are mounted correctly( ie safely) and dont have aircraft style buckles then they are okay ...

dont take my word for it though

as long as the harnesses are fitted correctly mate. Best bet is to make sure the anchor points go to the rear seat belt buckle points then they can't really fail it as long as its done properly. with it being on standard seats it might be a good idea to get the 4 point LUKE harnesses, so at least you get some lap protection,
