Buckled Alloys

Car  2012 Clio 200
I have noticed that my steering wheels had started vibrating at about 60mph. Took it for an MOT and they told me that the alloys at slightly buckled which is why I get the vibration. How much would it cost, and where can I get the alloys straightened out so my steering wheel stops vibrating?

cheers,

Sam

Get the wheel on a wheel balance, this will let you know how bad it is.

If it can't be cured by weights, you will have to replace the wheel.

Before you go spending too much money i would take the car to a tyre centre and get them balanced. Before you go and if possible to do so, take your wheels off and give them a good clean on the inner rim and also make sure your hub faces are clean and free from any kind of muck.

You can get the wheel reset but really depends on the value of the wheel, try balancing then consider the other options.

Dunc.
