Buggy actually went to it's first event this weekend.

Since a few of you followed the old build thread, some pics and vids from the weekend. Had a few issues, took it steady because of a clutch problem and also listening to every noise expecting something to break, but it finished 2 days of racing, so very happy with that.

Been following this on PH! T’is bloody ace 😍

Glad you're enjoying it :D

It's been a long road, was only expecting to do a few runs before we broke something so 2 full days of racing was amazing. Lost 10 minutes with the rear brakes locking on on the 3rd stage but a jack and an angle grinder fixed the tolerance issue nicely ;)

Was only mid-30s out of 75, although it would have been mid 20's I think without the brake issue, but not too bad for the first event back and the only 2wd car - they had to cut 2 miles out of the course because the 4wd's were getting stuck!
The last run when we didn't care if the clutch broke and opened it up a bit more it was low teens times-wise so it's got plenty to come yet.

Wow! How have I never seen this before?? It looks great fun.

It's not bad in the car to be honest, the dust was worse fixing the brakes while everyone else was going past!

Fixed it, got a better vid of those jumps too.
Don't have the plate diff any more as it just smashed the centre gears out of it, so we're struggling a bit for traction again but at least it's back to getting fun photos from events:

If you're wondering about the positive camber on the front on some pics we bent all 4 pins that the front suspension pivots on. Whoops.
Not bad going when they're M16 12.9 bolts...

I think I just answered that one :D

But I have looked at it but not without basically cutting the car off at the front of the windscreen, otherwise you just get double wishbones that don't have any better geo than the trailing arms bar camber gain.

First event of the year at Parkwood Off Road in Tong this weekend if anyone is nearby and wants a trip out, racing today and Sunday too.
