Bumper removal

Has anyone got any diagrams/instructions on how to remove the front bumper on a Mk2 172?

How long/difficult is the job?

30min job

easier if you remove both front wheels

pop out arch liners (use long nose pliers to lever the bungs out)

remove two plastic screws holding grille onto slam pannel

you'll find 2 x 10mm bolts under each arch (behind where the bumper/wing meet)

remove them

there's another 2 x 10mm bolts under the middle of the front bumper

with all bolts removed give ths bumper a good tug by grabing the bumper by the wheel arch

job done
