Burning video files to play on a DVD player?

What format would I need them in, or how would I go about changing the format, so that I could play a normal video file on my DVD player via CD?

I've not got a DVD Writer...

depends what dvd player u got mate. Mine plays files as long as they divx format etc

normally Video TS Audio TS, Or ISO format.

Oh, if you havent got a DVD write, and havent got a CD+R reader on your DVD player then you cant do what you want.
