button on end of wiper stalk

ok some help needed if poss, i have a 1996 rsi and i was just wondering what the button with the two arrows pointing downwards does on the end of the wiper stalk???

oh no not this again lol, its to do with the immobiliser and a way of overriding it in an emergency, pretty useless if you dont have the right code for it though, the same button on the renault 19 uses it for the trip computer thing which the clio dosent have.

Its the immobilser yeh. I fancy disconnecting it though and using it for something else.
