Buying a 182

Hi Guys, new to this and need some help

Im looking at buying a 182 sport and viewed it today but when the engine was running you can hear a slight rattle almost diesel like, im sure its nothing to worry about and they all sound like that (only done 25k 04 plate) just wanted confirmation of nothing to worry about.

Mine doesn't rattle like a diesel. Niether did my 172. So I'd imagine it's not normal.

Is it a private sale or from a dealer?

If its private then might not be worth risking

thrust bearing on clutch can sometimes sound like a noisy engine . listen to the engine running with the clutch pressed down(doesnt need to be in gear ) .

Mine is a 04 on 27K and it doesnt rattle at all, a heads up though the a 04 plate will need the big belt change next year so try and use this to knock some off the price.
