Buying a salvage Clio

Im thinking of getting a light damaged/stolen recovered car as they seem to be cheap and fully it wont cost much do up. Anyone recommend this or can give me advice. Ive seen a red mk1 172 for about £3k but sadly there is no pics

Theres a breakers yard in the Tunbridge Wells area i think.

Dont mind travelling too much as long as i can get one cheap that wont cause much probs in the future it would do me (no engine/susp damage) just wanna try and get a good deal. if im gonna get a 172, would have to wait until im prob 21 to get it insured (june time)

how do you go about getting the log book for a car like that? what does cat c mean?
