buzzing from the roof pod

iv got a 172 sport 51plate and just noticed buzzing from the roof pod,i popped the roof pod off and it seems to be a black little tube in there making the noise,

anyone know what this problem is.car starts and runs fine.

Pretty standard mine does this too, the fan in the temp sensor is worn, i pulled mine apart sprayed with WD40 and it shut it up for a few months but its back. Going to try some form of light grease this time round i think.

You can unplug it but you won't be able to change the temperature on the climate control without switching the car off and then back on again IIRC.

il take mine off and spray it with wd40 and buy a new 1 in time thanks for that mate
