bye bye clutch !!

the clutch went last nite on my valver, on the A127 on the way back from saarffend,

i was doing a bit of speed, went to change up a gear, and not much happened !!

i put it another gear & the revs flew up, so i guessed what had happened, the thing just went on me, i pulled over and it dont move !!

so last night i was on the slip rd 2 the M25 with 2 of my mates,at 1.30 am waiting 4 the green flag dudes to tow the b*stard home !

and a load of c*cks driving by tooting & wavin at us, b*stards !!

looks like a nice costly bill for me then !!

no mate the cable is fine !!

i replaced that just over a year ago, its deffo the clutch !!

my dad reckons the thrust bearing may have collapsed, the car dont even move !!!

unless you can do it yourself tho. wouldnt recommend it. its a bit tight. took us two days. clutch cost £60 and new gearbox oil £30. Hope you get it sorted!

Bugga. :cry:Unlucky mate. Mine cost me £250, parts and fitted. But that was a "cash job" at a local garage. Appartently its a good idea to fit the uprated R5 Race clutchs. But that may be complete rollox tho, cant remember! :D

one dude just quoted my dad £800 to do it !!

and reckoned reno will want 1200 !!!

i want a gold one for those prices,

i guess he will just have 2 keep ringing around for me !

also is there any, where local to romford, essex who is good,

i local reno specialist wants 500.00 !!

u have to remember i cant drive it aswell !! so its got ot be local !

do you not know anything? number one rule when owning a Renault is never take it back to the dealers for any work other than warrenty work.

You get charged a metric sh*tload of cash and they have to have it back another two time to actually do the job right. Buy the bits from http://www.eurocarparts.comwww.eurocarparts.com and if youre not mechanical minded (i know im not) go to a back street garage and get some cash prices.

Have you any mates that use garages? Any recomendations from family etc?
