Slightly off topic.
Over the last two days Ive had an Astra 2.2 SRi hire car. Now another 172 owner in Dunfermline has trouble pulling away from one of these that goes about the town. I can quite categorically say that my 172 would leave it standing. Dont get me wrong its fairly nippy, but just doesnt seem to have the punch anywhere in the rev range.
Moral of the story? - There are some very underpowered 172s out there, if my experience is anything to go by!
