like i said a bit.... IE one that fits in a hole that has 6 sides... not one that fits round the piece of hardware in question.... which would be a socket. My local garage told me its a torx bit but i can't seem to find one the right size for sale on its own only in sets..

which is how most callipers that i have come in contact with are attatched to the strut

he means the two bolts directly behind the piston - not the teo 13mm bolts that hold the caliper to the carrier

like the two bolts in the pic??? but obviously the caliper is seperated

Im aiming for the wrong items to change the pads? thats what im reffering to...

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
to change the pads u should only need to remove the 2 13mm bolts on the back of the caliper and just push the piston back then fit the pads then bolt the carrier on
