Cam belt change on a 172?

My car is currently away with the mechanic getting these items replaced, he's had it since yesterday. Hopefully I'll not have 2 solid days worth of labour rates to pay I phoned him 30 mins ago and he's now fitting the aux belt, he commented that the cam belt was a b*****d Collecting it tomorrow.

I'm taking my mk2 172 to Mike at Rentech for it's 54K service and while it's there ask him to have a look at the belts too.

Got the car delivered back to me this morning and all in for aux & cam belt change, spark plugs, oil and air filter was £236

Not bad at all.

That is a good price

I'm probably going to give Rentech a go in October for my cars 4yr service...1hr 30mins drive from Bath but I think it may be worth it.
